Meet Dan Bycraft
A Lifelong Woodworker
Dan has always liked working with his hands. He started out building small projects in his grandpa’s workshop, kept at it right through high school, and then went through the three-year Woodworking Technology co-op program at Conestoga College.
In 25 years of woodworking he’s built store fixtures, staircase parts, tables, desks, bookcases and cabinets for just about every room in the house. He ran his shop as Bycraft By Design for 15 years before it became Bycraft Kitchens & Cabinetry.
Today Bycraft is a one-person shop in Flesherton, in Grey County, building for homes all over Ontario. The same person measures your room, designs your cabinets, builds them and puts them in.

How Dan Works
Built Around Your Wish List
Every design starts with the room itself, how big it is, where the doors are and how your family uses it. Dan listens first, then tries to fit as much of your wish list into the space as he can while keeping it practical and on budget.
You’ll see layout and elevation drawings before anything gets built. Doors are ordered raw and finished in the shop, and the boxes, drawers and trim are built there too, with soft-close hardware from Blum and Hettich.
